Muscat grapes are grown around the world, but it became most popular in Italy. Muscat grapes can vary from pale yellow to light red in color.
The white wine is low in tannins, but there are red wine grapes in the muscat family.Black muscat can be used to make a red Moscato that has a berry flavor, but this variety is not very common. Most Moscato wines are white, with varying levels of sweetness, acidity, and bubbles.
